Prayer and Spirituality
|Spirituality is a way of being that arises from one’s experience of the dynamic movement of God’s Spirit in our lives and in the world. This core experience shapes one’s desire to freely respond day by day in concrete action.
The spirituality of the Sisters of Saint Joseph is rooted in the experience of the God who is Inclusive, Self-Emptied and Unioning Love. Our experience of Divine Love animates us to join with Christ Jesus’ desire “that all may be one” (John 17:21-23). Thus, we live and work for an ever-deepening communion with God, one another and every kind of neighbor, including creation, without distinction.
In order to center our lives on deepening union with God and neighbor, we nurture ways of faithfully listening for God’s movements and invitations to us in all aspects of life.
Such attentive listening prompts us to move forward in loving service to the dear neighbor, always desiring to respond with a quality of presence that fosters life and gives flesh to God’s great love.
