Volunteers

Volunteering with the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia is an ideal way to make a positive difference in the lives of others. SSJ has two programs for young people to volunteer they are: SSJ Mission Corps — a long-term volunteer opportunity (August to June) for woman ages 21-35 and Good Works — a short-term option (week-long) service experience for men and women ages 18 and older. Volunteering with the SSJ contributes to the personal and professional development of the volunteer, can bring job skills, communication skills, experience, contacts, and increased self-confidence. All these can help in the search for employment. Volunteering with the SSJs is also a great way to deepen your spiritual life and relationship with God, to put your faith into action! Volunteers can meet like-minded people and make lifelong friendships. |
