Art and the Sacred
Presenters: Patricia Brintle and Laura James
Born and raised in Haiti, Patricia Brintle brings her colorful style which reflects her native land. Influenced by personal and social experiences,
her approach to prayer and painting is varied and reflects her interior spiritual journey.
Laura James, is a painter and illustrator who specializes in sacred images of everyday life. Laura uses vibrant colors and draws on Ethiopian Christian iconography in her work, an influence evident in the wide, almond- shaped eyes of the people she depicts and reflects the depth of her interior life.
Patricia and Laura will connect art, the sacred and spiritual themes as a gateway to deepen one’s prayer.
This will be offered in-person, virtually and the option to come Friday evening for some reflection time and be present for the retreat on Saturday.
Ways to Register and Participate:
• In-person for the day: 10:00 AM-2:30 PM $20.00
(Includes lunch)
• Overnight Friday and attending the Retreat Saturday: $95.00
(Includes overnight stay, continental breakfast and lunch. Arrive
any time after 4:30 on Friday and attend the in-person retreat on
Saturday.)
• Virtual Participation : $15.00
