Sister Ann Kramer
Sister Ann (Nancy) Kramer died at Saint Joseph Villa, Flourtown, Pennsylvania on July 9, 2022. The Memorial Mass was celebrated on July 22 at Saint Joseph Villa.
Nancy, the daughter of Mary and Frank Kramer was born and raised in Philadelphia. The family belonged to Resurrection parish where Nancy attended Grade School. She then enrolled at Saint Hubert High School and graduated in 1961. Shortly after graduating, Nancy entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia. When she received the religious habit in April, 1962 she also received the religious name Sister Regina Veronica. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Chestnut Hill College and her Master’s from Saint Charles Seminary in 1980.
Sister’s early ministry focused on the education of youth in schools in the Archdioceses of Philadelphia and Baltimore as well as the Dioceses of Alexandria and Harrisburg. She served as teacher in some schools and as principal in others.
After more than thirty years in educational ministry Nancy was called to the ministry of Pastoral Associate. As her dear friend Peg noted in her words of reflection after the Memorial Mass, “Nancy brought the same gifts with her to every mission and ministry, but, oh how she loved the people of Boyertown—and I would dare say that the people of Boyertown loved her back! Since Nancy’s passing there have been countless calls and delightful stories about Nancy and her work there. There was the Mom’s group, the adult group, RCIA and Confirmation classes, and her care for the sick and dying. Each a gift and a blessing to Nancy.”
Sister Ann Kramer was sustained by her love of God and her fidelity to prayer. She prayed for each Sister in her local community by name each day. May she continue to pray for us as she enjoys eternal peace and eternal life with our God.
